Question from Danne (IP: 81.228.205.35) posted November 26, 2005 21:03:37:
Q:
A:
Anders
Question from Bob (IP: 159.53.46.144) posted November 26, 2005 18:51:44:
Q:
Anders, I guess if Mieszko was still around he'd be the person to ask, but maybe you can answer my question. Why did Nasum have no guitar solos (besides the odd guest appearance)? Was Mieszko more of a "riff" guitarist than a technical player? Personally I fucking love the dynamics of Nasum and the fact that you didn't put focus on the technical and show-boaty "solos" that other bands rely on, but I'm in a grind band with an asshole who constanly wants to add solos where they aren't needed!!! Hope you can give me some insight into the creative mindset of Nasum.
A:
We never saw guitarsolos as one of the basic cornerstones in our music. It was rather something we added as an effect when the song needed it. Mieszko was more of a rhythm guitarist than a solo guitarist but he has recorded his share of solos for Nasum - just listen to the older albums. It's all the work of Mieszko.
I think you need to talk about what you want to do with your music with your fellow bandmembers. If something feels all wrong you should probably talk about it. / Anders

What's the fun in having a one-man band? / Anders
Question from Jon (IP: 159.53.110.144) posted November 26, 2005 15:36:04:
Q:
the packaging is fucking stunning Anders, thanks for sticking to your guns and going ahead with such a "complicated" package (as far as the printing went). well done, i can't wait!!! any chance of getting the release pushed forward by a week or two? hehehe
A:
I don't think so, I guess "Grind Finale" has it's place in Relapse's release schedule. But it might be possible that they ship pre-orders prior to the release date. I have to check that out. / Anders

A:
You'll find out when they are available. But this is a clue. / Anders

Q:
When you are blasting are you usually doing a single kick blast? Sometimes its so fast i cant figure it out. Thanks and I hope to hear you bashing the drums in another band soon.

CHEERS!!!
A:
I only do single kick blasts. I don't think it's that fast, but thanks for the kind words. / Anders
Question from Ed Baker (IP: 70.176.59.15) posted November 25, 2005 06:08:39:
Q:
This is going to sound retarded but, am I correct in assuming the shipping prices are already added into the merch prices? In other words, does incl. = including, or incl. = include, as in you need to include.

btw nasum, has always had *the* best band website, mostly in terms of available information and completeness.
A:
Does this line (as written on the merch page) give you any clue?

ALL PRICES INCLUDES SHIPPING COSTS!!!

/ Anders

Whow, that "equi" guy's got some issues. The ecard thing on Relapse is really cool, man. Dig it. Can't wait for Finale.

Q:

A:
Den heter just "Crass" av förklarliga skäl! Här finns fonten. / Anders
Question from Joey (IP: 81.224.130.52) posted November 24, 2005 19:43:38:
Q:
A:
Anders
Question from equimanthornh (IP: 217.96.121.10) posted November 24, 2005 19:20:15:
Q:
Hi ! I wanna say one thing - my english is fucking poor... but...
I come from Poland ("like" Mieszko :) ) and i wanna say one thing.. T-SHIRTS for poor Nasum fans from poland cost too much money...And I dont have this fucking money. Why they cost soo much ?

PS

Quorthon die (fuck!), Docent from Vader die(fuck) and Mieszko die (fuck!!!) but why Nergal from polish fucking looser-poser-band not die ?! "I HATE THIS FUCKING SHIT"... Doom is closing in...
A:
By my standards our t-shirts are fairly cheap, but of course they might seem the opposite for other people who compairs the price to what they pay in their countries. Also, a big part of the total price is the shipping which is very expensive when it comes to international shipping.
Regarding your PS: You should not ask the life of someone, I think that is very low... / Anders

A:
Det är helt omöjligt att svara på. / Anders
Question from Johannes (IP: 193.11.73.10) posted November 22, 2005 15:54:08:
Q:
Goddagens!
A:
Anders
Question from Jesper (IP: 83.209.39.172) posted November 21, 2005 00:03:25:
Q:

A:
Anders

Question from Jim (IP: 159.53.46.144) posted November 18, 2005 15:47:08:
Q:
When did you first start playing drums? Did you take any formal lessons? And do you have any tips on how to get a good blast beat? Sorry if this has been asked in Swedish before.
A:
I started at age 10 and took after school lessons weekly until I was 18. I joined percussion ensembles and eventually a big band during those years. At age 12-13 I started playing in bands, so I've been doing this for a quite long time now.
I couldn't do a proper blast until I started playing the drums in Nasum at age 23 and the only thing that worked for me was to be devoted to making it and practise, practise, practise. Just do it! / Anders
Question from Lasse (IP: 194.71.24.5) posted November 18, 2005 12:56:28:
Q:
A:
Anders

Bid in whatever currency you'd like to pay with. I will pay for shipping. Good question though - I've added this to the auction info. / Anders

A:
Nej, jag är ingen death metal-trummis. / Anders

Q:
On the grind finale hoodies on the back is the words
"fuck the system that fucks you every fucking day"

Where are these words from? - nasum lyrics???

Good to hear you are grinding again with a new project
A:
It's from a song called "Fuck the system" (duh!) that originally is from the Regressive Hostility compilation, soon to be on "Grind Finale". It's my number one favorite line in a Nasum lyric ever! Mieszko wrote it. / Anders
Question from Grinder (IP: 159.53.46.144) posted November 15, 2005 20:41:42:
Q:
This question may have been asked in Swedish already, but was there any material that Nasum had been working on or planning to record prior to Mieszko's death? Any material "left over" ie: rough demo recordings, tracks without vocals yet recorded, etc?
A:
Nope. We were supposed to work on new songs in January. / Anders
Question from JRH (IP: 159.53.110.144) posted November 15, 2005 18:42:43:
Q:
Hey Anders, any chance of getting some high res images of Grind Finale to use for backgrounds, etc? Also, what kind of day jobs did the members of Nasum have throughout your career?
A:
1. Maybe after the release.
2. Everything from math teachers to sound engineers, from sex educators to webdesigners... / Anders
Question from lawan! (IP: 218.111.50.207) posted November 15, 2005 14:23:52:
Q:
"official" we mean "stuff that we printed and sold by ourselves". Stuff printed by record companies, merchandise companies or bootlegers are to be considered "unofficial" in this case.
- it's mean nasum merch on relapse site is unofficial?-
A:
Not really - authorized but not made by the band. I think the passage you've quoted is pretty clear in it's definitions. / Anders
