Q:
Has the word "necrony" a special meaning?
A:
No, it's just a combination of "Necro" and "Crony", so in a way it has a meaning. / Anders

Q:
A:
Anders

Q:
Sorry if my question will be answered with the release of "Grind finale", but you have to understand I can't wait for such a long time ;)...

Anyway, my question is:
Will it contain the Japan only tracks of the albums as well? In your post it says "non-album tracks", so probably not...?
A:
"Album" in "non-album" referers to the original releases so the Japanese bonus tracks are all on "Grinde Finale"! / Anders

Q:
Deepest condolences to Mieszko, his friends, and family. I have a question about some of Nasum's beliefs as a band and as individuals. I have noticed lyrics in the past that have a strong animal rights message, such as "Fucking Murder" and "Fur," just to name a few. What is Nasum's stance on animal rights? and your stance? and Mieszko's stance? Did the entire band agree on animal rights? Did all or any of you support a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle? Were any of you active in animal rights at one time or another? Just curious. Thanks and best of luck in the future.
A:
I believe that Mieszko was a vegetarian for the last 10-11 years of his life and at some point he was a vegan, probably at the same time he wrote "Fucking Murder!" and "Fur". We were never any hardcore activists for animal rights but it was one of many issues that we attacked in lyrics. Eventhough we had simular political ideas in our lyrics, Nasum was very much a group of individuals with different opinions and I can't really speak about the others opinions, but I assure you that no one - vegetarian or not - was against animal rights! / Anders

Q:

A:

A:
Anders

Is your diet also vegan or vegetarian?
A:
It's currently vegetarian, but I'm considering giving up the vegetarian life style soon due to different reasons. / Anders

Q:
Somr friend told me that you are straight edge! I wanted to know if that´s true and when you decided to become straight? What reasons brought you to this decision?
Good luck in the future! I hope you soon found a new band!
A:
Well, yes I'm 100% drug free, so I guess I qualify as a straight edge person. I always have and always will hate drugs. I stopped drinking and alcohol five years ago this summer. The reason is simple: I don't need drugs in my life. / Anders

Hejsan!

Anders
Question from Marie (IP: 81.216.223.44) posted June 6, 2005 11:34:01:
Q:
Hej,

A:

Take care!
A:

A:

Nasum! - vi älskar er!
A:
"Nasum is no longer an active band. There will never be another studio recording or a live show. Nasum ended with the death of Mieszko." / Anders

I was wondering if the studio diaries and the info on the recording of Helvete would ever be put back onto the site.
A:
As mentioned in the answer below I have lots of additional updates to do on the site, so you can expect that sort of info to return in the future. Keep an eye on the Update log. / Anders

Q:
I was wondering if the videos are going to be posted back up in the Downloads section anytime soon?

Also, I received an email from Mieszko 1 week to the day before the Tsunami which has been of great help to my writing, I actually recently packed my shit and moved from Australia to the US and formed a grind band, his words have been very helpful! Good luck with whatever you do in future Anders.
A:
I have a list of additional updates to do on the site, and bringing the videos back (at least some of them - we do not have unlimited serverspace anymore) is defintively on it. / Anders

Och sen till frågorna;

A:
1. Se frågan under.
Anders

can you explain the meaning of nasum?

Q:
Yeah, that was kinda lame. I read on teufelstomb.com, which was from blabbermouth.com, that Nasum would be re-releasing Inhale, Human, and Helvete on vinyl. My primary collection is vinyl, mainly so I can frame the covers. I've got Industrial and want the others.
A:
Well, the re-release is picture discs, so it's not the normal vinyl edition.

And - ehum - the title is "Industrislaven", nothing else! :) / Anders

Question from Brian P. Hoadley (IP: 64.167.29.126) posted June 1, 2005 21:16:23:
Q:
Yo Anders, received my mail order copy of "Inhale/Exhale" thru Relapse last night. Loved my first listen! After having listened to the later albums first, I can see how progessive the early years were. Truth maintained throughout the Nasum period is clearly represented when looking at all the works together. Nice.

Are you planning to release the vinyls thru Relapse? I've got "Industrial" on vinyl and find ordering Nasum on Relapse US quite convenient (you know, no international shipping).

I was thinking, after knowing Mieszko thru the writing, only a tsunami could take out such vibrance. His death, in such a way, has an element of honor to it. It took the powers of the physical world to extinguinsh that life.

Just a thought, and some props on "Inhale/Exhale".

Oh yeah, please don't post this note. These words are for you, man.
A:
It's pretty hard to answer your question without posting your question... Which I don't fully understand, which vinyls are you talking about? Of the albums the first two are sold out and the third ("Helvete") Relapse released and the fourth I don't think they have bought any copies of, which is kind of strange.

Question from Chuckie Hardcore (IP: 207.216.110.123) posted June 1, 2005 00:57:35:
Q:
I sent you (Anders) an E-mail at least a month back about the idea of some sort of a tribute maybe feturing unrealed Nasum, Genocide SS, Krigshot stuff and maybe have bands suchs as the Peep Show, DS-13, Entomed and Project Hopless contributing stuff as well? Many other fans of Mieszko would be very intrested in just such a comp;what better way too pay tribute to the guy? Call it "FRiends of Tragedy" Since you where in Krigshot with him, that this would be something too think about?
If others out their read this, please share you ideas about this idea, for a tribute comp. Would like to hear other suggestions as well?
A:
I think it's a pretty bad idea, actually. However I am not interested in putting together some kind of tribute (I mean to be the person organizing the whole thing), it's too much work and too much feelings involved that makes the whole thing so unattractive.
"What better way too pay tribute to the guy?" Well, I would say that you should listen to and buy the stuff he wrote and recorded for Nasum and other bands (as a producer). That's Mieszko's legacy. / Anders

Q:
My late condolences for the department of Mieszko. Nasum's music truly was and is one of my greatest inspirators in creating music of my own, and the world of extreme music is now one excellent band, and even moreso, one excellent songwriter poorer. I wish the best for you people in your future projects. Stay strong and innovative.
A:
Thanks for the kind words. Once again I should perhaps point out that all the other ex-Nasum members are active in other bands, check out the related bands page for more info. / Anders
