Rehearsal report: New songs, new album - photos, videos!

It's been quite a while since the last report from the Coldworker camp, but now we have lots to say - and show. We've been working hard in the rehearsal room writing new songs, because we're going to start recording our second album in December for a spring 2008 release on Relapse Records.

Currently we're working on 13 new songs, some of them are basically completely finished, while others need a little more work and the latest ones need lots of work. But we work hard documenting ourselves with multi-track rehearsals every now and then.

Titles for some of the finished songs are "The black dog syndrome", "Deliverance of the rejected", "The machine", "Scare tactics", "The last bitter twist", "Citizens of the cyclopean maze" and "Identify with the aggressor".

The new songs are basically in the same sort of death metal/grindcore mix as on "The contaminated void", with added aggression and dynamics and an overall more death metal oriented approach. It feels like the token "next step" in our development.

As a brief taster we serve you two videos, which along with the photos in this article were shot at our rehearsal room October 3rd by Terése Andersson. The camera is old so the sound is far from clear, but hopefully you'll get some sort of idea of what we're doing right now. Better audio and video samples might show up the coming months.

Enjoy! (You will need the DivX to see the videos!)
