Question from Lars J (IP: posted June 5, 2005 12:44:32:
Tjena Anders & Nasum!

Take care!
Anders
Question from Anders (IP: posted June 4, 2005 15:19:57:
Anders
Question from Gudbjörn Valgeirsson (IP: posted June 4, 2005 14:55:57:
Nasum! - vi älskar er!
"Nasum is no longer an active band. There will never be another studio recording or a live show. Nasum ended with the death of Mieszko." / Anders
Question from Cody (IP: posted June 3, 2005 10:29:51:
I was wondering if the studio diaries and the info on the recording of Helvete would ever be put back onto the site.
As mentioned in the answer below I have lots of additional updates to do on the site, so you can expect that sort of info to return in the future. Keep an eye on the Update log. / Anders
Question from JRH (IP: posted June 3, 2005 02:23:52:
I was wondering if the videos are going to be posted back up in the Downloads section anytime soon?

Also, I received an email from Mieszko 1 week to the day before the Tsunami which has been of great help to my writing, I actually recently packed my shit and moved from Australia to the US and formed a grind band, his words have been very helpful! Good luck with whatever you do in future Anders.
I have a list of additional updates to do on the site, and bringing the videos back (at least some of them - we do not have unlimited serverspace anymore) is defintively on it. / Anders
Question from Jonas (IP: posted June 2, 2005 18:32:59:
Och sen till frågorna;

1. Se frågan under.
Anders
Question from forget your tomorrow (IP: posted June 2, 2005 08:38:18:
can you explain the meaning of nasum?
Until the truth comes out in the "Grind Finale" booklet, Nasum still means "a grindcore band from Sweden"... / Anders
Question from Jevon M. (IP: posted June 2, 2005 07:48:29:

Question from Brian P. Hoadley (IP: posted June 1, 2005 23:43:09:
Yeah, that was kinda lame. I read on, which was from, that Nasum would be re-releasing Inhale, Human, and Helvete on vinyl. My primary collection is vinyl, mainly so I can frame the covers. I've got Industrial and want the others.
Well, the re-release is picture discs, so it's not the normal vinyl edition.

And - ehum - the title is "Industrislaven", nothing else! :) / Anders

Question from Brian P. Hoadley (IP: posted June 1, 2005 21:16:23:
Yo Anders, received my mail order copy of "Inhale/Exhale" thru Relapse last night. Loved my first listen! After having listened to the later albums first, I can see how progessive the early years were. Truth maintained throughout the Nasum period is clearly represented when looking at all the works together. Nice.

Are you planning to release the vinyls thru Relapse? I've got "Industrial" on vinyl and find ordering Nasum on Relapse US quite convenient (you know, no international shipping).

I was thinking, after knowing Mieszko thru the writing, only a tsunami could take out such vibrance. His death, in such a way, has an element of honor to it. It took the powers of the physical world to extinguinsh that life.

Just a thought, and some props on "Inhale/Exhale".

Oh yeah, please don't post this note. These words are for you, man.
It's pretty hard to answer your question without posting your question... Which I don't fully understand, which vinyls are you talking about? Of the albums the first two are sold out and the third ("Helvete") Relapse released and the fourth I don't think they have bought any copies of, which is kind of strange.

Just for the record: This Q and A function should only be used with the intention to get your question answered on the site. If you want a private conversation just write an email! / Anders
Question from Chuckie Hardcore (IP: posted June 1, 2005 00:57:35:
I sent you (Anders) an E-mail at least a month back about the idea of some sort of a tribute maybe feturing unrealed Nasum, Genocide SS, Krigshot stuff and maybe have bands suchs as the Peep Show, DS-13, Entomed and Project Hopless contributing stuff as well? Many other fans of Mieszko would be very intrested in just such a comp;what better way too pay tribute to the guy? Call it "FRiends of Tragedy" Since you where in Krigshot with him, that this would be something too think about?
If others out their read this, please share you ideas about this idea, for a tribute comp. Would like to hear other suggestions as well?
I think it's a pretty bad idea, actually. However I am not interested in putting together some kind of tribute (I mean to be the person organizing the whole thing), it's too much work and too much feelings involved that makes the whole thing so unattractive.
"What better way too pay tribute to the guy?" Well, I would say that you should listen to and buy the stuff he wrote and recorded for Nasum and other bands (as a producer). That's Mieszko's legacy. / Anders
Question from Mikke (IP: posted May 31, 2005 23:26:38:
Anders
Question from Leo Mauler (IP: posted May 31, 2005 21:01:52:
My late condolences for the department of Mieszko. Nasum's music truly was and is one of my greatest inspirators in creating music of my own, and the world of extreme music is now one excellent band, and even moreso, one excellent songwriter poorer. I wish the best for you people in your future projects. Stay strong and innovative.
Thanks for the kind words. Once again I should perhaps point out that all the other ex-Nasum members are active in other bands, check out the related bands page for more info. / Anders
Question from tiong (IP: posted May 31, 2005 07:59:40:

Well, I have plans, dreams, whatever about a new band. I know what I want to play, but I need to find the right people to play with, which isn't the easiest thing. / Anders
Question from Joanna (IP: posted May 30, 2005 22:35:17:

Anders
Question from Lee (IP: posted May 30, 2005 19:40:41:
Hey Anders

It's sad that Nasum are no more and I and many, many other fan's will miss the music you created,
I really hope you can get back on your feet in the music world and set your talent's free once again ,I know i for one will be waiting.

RIP Mieszko

Best of luck for what the future bring's for you Ander's.
Thanks. / Anders
Question from Backlund (IP: posted May 30, 2005 18:49:53:

Anders
Question from salm (IP: posted May 30, 2005 17:47:50:

Yes. We want photos and videos and whatever you got (not only you, Salm!) with Nasum. Please send us everything. / Anders
Question from Johan (IP: posted May 30, 2005 17:38:49:
Anders
Question from Eric (from Germany) (IP: posted May 30, 2005 13:30:50:
Hello Nasummembers, hello Anders,

I'm a little bit sad about the end of Nasum, but I can understand your decision. Thank you for your explanation, Anders.
I think the music you've created sends the power, the spirit and the energy, all this, what, so I think, music stands for.
I hope I'll read your names in booklets again.

I wish the girlfriend of Mieszko the best recovery, and all friends and family the strength to carry on.

PS: Just one question: One of my favourite song on "Shift" is "Hets". Unfortunately I can't speak Swedish, but I'm curious what's meant by this song.
So, if you have any time, would you translate this into English?
Please excuse my English.
I will try to translate all the lyrics that is in Swedish sometime in the future. I know other timed when I've tried this I've tried to hard to make them rhytmically right, and that doesn't really work. I'll just try to translate the essence of them next time.
"Hets" is about a quite huge problem in society today, how people are consumed by stress and demands and work until they get exhaused or burned out. It's actually one of my better lyrics - it discusses a big problem and it got a good flow in it.
I guess one way to translate the title is "Frenzy". Actually I named the song since it felt kind of stressy, and then I developed the lyrics keeping the working title.
/ Anders
Question from Danne (IP: posted May 30, 2005 01:50:39:

Nej. / Anders
