Fy satan vad cool Grind Finale verkar, det är nästan lite taskigt att lägga ut bilderna när vi inte kan få den på två månader;) Längtan blir så mycket större.
Jag har en fråga angående utformningen. Är den inspirerad av David Bowies 30 års-jubileumssläpp av Ziggy Stardust (världens genom tiderna bästa skiva för övrigt) som hade en liknande utformning, eller är det endast Tools Salival som ligger till grund (äger den tyvärr inte så vet inte riktigt hur den ser ut)?

Det är exakt samma typ av förpackning som Tools "Salival". "Ziggy Stardust"-utgåvan (som jag också har) är inte alls samma typ av förpackning (även om vissa likheter finns). / Anders

Det är inte alls säkert att jag kommer att sälja den. Skulle nästan kunna "lova" att jag inte gör det inledningsvis. Vad sen skivaffärerna tar är upp till dem, men det är meningen att den ska säljas till ett vettigt pris. Relapses pre-orderpris på $16 (ca 130 kr) är ju ruskigt lågt och bra. Det är ju bara att jämföra med cdons pris som är det dubbla!
Med andra ord: Har ni möjlighet - beställ från Relapse! / Anders

Anders, I guess if Mieszko was still around he'd be the person to ask, but maybe you can answer my question. Why did Nasum have no guitar solos (besides the odd guest appearance)? Was Mieszko more of a "riff" guitarist than a technical player? Personally I fucking love the dynamics of Nasum and the fact that you didn't put focus on the technical and show-boaty "solos" that other bands rely on, but I'm in a grind band with an asshole who constanly wants to add solos where they aren't needed!!! Hope you can give me some insight into the creative mindset of Nasum.

We never saw guitarsolos as one of the basic cornerstones in our music. It was rather something we added as an effect when the song needed it. Mieszko was more of a rhythm guitarist than a solo guitarist but he has recorded his share of solos for Nasum - just listen to the older albums. It's all the work of Mieszko.
I think you need to talk about what you want to do with your music with your fellow bandmembers. If something feels all wrong you should probably talk about it. / Anders

I don't think so, I guess "Grind Finale" has it's place in Relapse's release schedule. But it might be possible that they ship pre-orders prior to the release date. I have to check that out. / Anders

Tycker inte det låter som det, så jag är väldigt imponerad över ditt trumspel.

Det är lite blandat, bokstavligt talat. Jag minns inte helt och hållet, men i alla fall på de sista skivorna är det både det akustiska ljudet och en triggad version som blir det slutgiltiga ljudet. Det är ett ganska vanligt sätt att få fram trumsound numera.

By my standards our t-shirts are fairly cheap, but of course they might seem the opposite for other people who compairs the price to what they pay in their countries. Also, a big part of the total price is the shipping which is very expensive when it comes to international shipping.

Goddagens! Blev jävligt till mig när jag läste på Q&A (sidan 6 tror jag) att Genocide SS kanske skulle börja lira lite igen, kanon att du uppmuntrar dem till det också. Accidents är i och för sig guld, men eftersom Genocide SS hela tiden utvecklades i rätt riktning vore en ny skiva nästan som en våt dröm för undertecknad och flera i kretsen. Du vet inte om de tänkt plocka in någon för att ersätta Mieszko eller om de tänkt köra på den kvarvarande sättningen? Bandinavel ist krieg, vore la inte vanhedrande mot minnet om någon annan (helst scenkändis) axlade rollen som den tredje vokalisten. Shift är f.ö. det bästa Nasum åstadkommit, tack för musiken!

Om de kör något så antar jag att det blir för att ge bandet en snyggare avslutning än att bara stänga butiken rätt upp och ned. Vad jag har förstått finns det material av Danne och Rickard skrivet som nästan täcker upp en hel fullängdare (GSS plan var ju att spela in en ny platta under 2005), så bara de repar borde de gå smidigt. Men jag tror inte det blir mer än så, och sannolikt ingen rekrytering av en ny medlem. / Anders

Ordet dök upp i C-filmen "Flesh for Frankenstein" som jag och Rickard tittade på och garvade åt ungefär samtidigt som vi startade bandet. Ordet blev ett internt skämt och kändes självklart som namn. Inte helt klockrent idag, men å andra sidan fanns det inga alternativ då. / Anders

When did you first start playing drums? Did you take any formal lessons? And do you have any tips on how to get a good blast beat? Sorry if this has been asked in Swedish before.

I started at age 10 and took after school lessons weekly until I was 18. I joined percussion ensembles and eventually a big band during those years. At age 12-13 I started playing in bands, so I've been doing this for a quite long time now.
I couldn't do a proper blast until I started playing the drums in Nasum at age 23 and the only thing that worked for me was to be devoted to making it and practise, practise, practise. Just do it! / Anders
